McGuire and U. S. Steel Team Up Once Again for Speedweeks 2012! - January 13, 2012

U. S. Steel WebsiteWith "Speedweeks 2012" rapidly approaching, Josh McGuire and the United States Steel Corporation reached an agreement today that will send the Grayson, Kentucky driver and his #41 Dirt Late Model team south to Georgia and Florida next month. Josh and U. S. Steel have been marketing partners on two other occasions recently - one for the 2010 'USA Nationals' at Cedar Lake (WI) Speedway and the other for last year's 'Dirt Track World Championship at Atomic (OH) Speedway. The partnership has been very successful in the past and both parties are looking forward to debuting the U. S. Steel #41 MasterSbilt on February 10-11 at Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia.

"Once again, it is an honor to work with U. S. Steel, Scott Coleman, and their team of employees and I look forward to representing them at Screven and East Bay during Speedweeks," exclaimed McGuire earlier today via telephone. "We have enjoyed a great relationship in the past and marketing their brand in new markets in Georgia and Florida will be a lot of fun. I had my mind made up that we weren't going to Speedweeks this year, but Scott (Coleman) approached me with a great opportunity to work with U. S. Steel once again. We will hit Screven and East Bay for sure and if things go well and our equipment is still in good shape, we may head over to Volusia as well."

The 'Winter Freeze' at Screven will be the first race of the season for the Josh McGuire Racing (JMR) team on February 10-11. The lid lifter for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series will pay $20,000 to the winner. Following Screven, the #41 team will venture to East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida for the annual running of the 'Winternationals.' Six Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series programs will be held at the Tampa area venue from February 13-18 with winning purses varying from $5,000 to $10,000. Josh McGuire Ends Season with a Bang; Wins $5,000 at Atomic! - November 7, 2011

The Josh McGuire Racing (JMR) team ended their 2011 racing season with a bang on Saturday night, November 5, as they captured a convincing win in the rain-postponed 'Trick or Treat Topless 50' at the Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio! After qualifying well in time trials, Josh McGuire won his loaded heat race over Scott James and track champion Delmas Conley. Josh once again sported a bad fast racecar during the unsanctioned 50-lapper, as he drove to the front of the field and captured the point on lap thirteen. The Grayson, Kentucky ace stretched his lead throughout the remainder of the 'Trick or Treat Topless 50' en route to claiming the $5,000 payday over Jackie Boggs, Scott James, R.J. Conley, and Rod Conley. Complete results from the former K-C Raceway can be located online at www.kc-raceway.com.

McGuire Sees Rain at Atomic Speedway on Saturday... - October 31, 2011

Josh McGuire and the Josh McGuire Racing (JMR) team were in the pit area on Saturday, October 29 at the newly renamed Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio for the unsanctioned 'Trick or Treat Topless 50.' Josh qualified fourth fastest in time trials, but that was the last time he would take to the track, as a brief rain shower passed through the area after qualifying and postponed the show. The 'Trick or Treat Topless 50' will now be held next Saturday, November 5 with $5,000 going to the winner.

Josh McGuire Runner-Up in Annual Fall 50 at Florence! - October 24, 2011

The Josh McGuire Racing (JMR) team headed to the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on Saturday, October 22 for the annual running of the 'Fall 50.' The unsanctioned season finale at the 1/2-mile speedplant paid $5,000 to the winner. Josh McGuire started fourth in his heat race and charged to the front to claim the prelim triumph. By virtue of the passing points format, Josh earned enough points to roll off fourth on the grid in the 50-lap feature event. Armed with a hard tire selection, the Grayson, Kentucky native fell back to as far as seventh before climbing all the way up to second to finish only behind 'Fall 50' winner Scott James. Complete results from Florence Speedway can be viewed online at www.florencespeedway.com.
