(ASHLAND, KENTUCKY) Ashland, Kentucky native Josh McGuire and the Josh McGuire Racing team invaded the K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio on October 19-20 for the 27th Annual 'Dirt Track World Championship.' Josh was twenty-second fastest of the 117 entrants during the qualifying session held on Friday night, October 19. He later posted a fifth place performance in his competitive heat race before grabbing the second and final transfer spot in his B-Main on Saturday, October 20. Josh then rolled off from the outside of the twelfth row for the $50,000 to win feature event and after 100 green flag racing laps around the 3/8-mile, high-banked oval, he found himself in the seventeenth position. "I was trying to avoid a little incident early in the race and unfortunately got into an inside utility tire," quoted McGuire this week. "The damage caused my car not to turn like I needed it to and that led to the seventeenth place finish. I know I could have gotten up inside of the top ten and possibly even the top five if not for that bout with the tire. But, it was still good to get into the feature at the Dirt Track World Championship for the second straight year and we will look to finish a little stronger next season!"

Josh and his #41 team have a single race on their upcoming weekend schedule. They are set to travel to the Skyline Speedway in Stewart, Ohio on Saturday night, October 27 for a regular $1,500 to win weekly show. Josh has reached victory lane at Skyline on three different occasions in 2007, including a win as recent as September 29.
