(ASHLAND, KENTUCKY) Josh McGuire and his #41 team traveled to the Skyline Speedway in Stewart, Ohio on Saturday night, October 13 for the $5,000 to win Independent Racing Series (IRS) season finale. Josh ran fourth in his competitive heat race to advance to the main event. During the course of the 'Jack-O-Lantern 50,' the Ashland Kentucky native suffered a flat Hoosier tire and was involved in a minor incident, which unfortunately sent him to the back of the pack on two different occasions. Josh did not let that detract him, as he got up on the wheel of his #41 C.J. Rayburn machine and rallied back to earn a strong sixth place performance. "Skyline didn't go as planned, but we still salvaged a sixth place finish," quoted McGuire tonight via telephone. "I was kind of disappointed by getting a flat tire and then getting caught up in a wreck, but I guess it could have been worse. I am really looking forward to the Dirt Track World Championship this weekend. Hopefully, we can get into the feature again and then finish up front. It would be awesome to win that race, as it is one of the most prestigious races in Dirt Late Model racing."

The Josh McGuire Racing team will now turn their sights to the K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio this coming weekend for the prestigious 'Dirt Track World Championship.' The 27th annual version of the historic event will take place on October 19-20 and a $50,000 top prize awaits the winner. Qualifying and heat races are scheduled for Friday night, October 19, while the B-Mains and the 100-lap 'Dirt Track World Championship' will highlight the racing action on Saturday. Josh made his first DTWC start last year, as he finished twenty-second after being involved in an early-race wreck.
