(ASHLAND, KENTUCKY) Josh McGuire and his #41 team were in action in Kentucky and Ohio over the weekend in a pair of Dirt Late Model events! On Friday night, June 22, Josh invaded the legendary Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky for a $1,000 to win regular show. After qualifying well and finishing fourth in the dash, the Ashland, Kentucky native wound up sixth in the final rundown of the A-Main.

The action then turned to the K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio on Saturday for a $5,000 to win Independent Racing Series (IRS) event. Josh won his heat race and the dash before leading the first four laps of the 40-lap feature event. As the checkered flag fell over the stout field at K-C, Josh was credited with a solid fourth place performance behind winner Eddie Carrier, Jr., Bart Hartman, and Rick Aukland. "It was a pretty good weekend for our team," stated McGuire recently. "We had a good run going at Ponderosa until we got caught up in a little incident, which wound up sealing our tires. Then at K-C, we gambled soft on tires and that unfortunately didn't pay off the way he had hoped. But, we still stayed up front and finished fourth. As long as we continue to run towards the front, the wins will eventually come our way."

Josh will be a very busy man over the next several days, as he is slated to compete in four high-profile shows. He is scheduled to drive Tim Hall's C.J. Rayburn chassis at Lernerville, Midway, and Muskingum County, while Josh will pilot his own #41 machine at Portsmouth on Sunday, July 1. Below is his tentative upcoming schedule for the busy extended weekend:

June 29-30 | Lernerville (PA) Speedway, World of Outlaws | $30,000 to win *
July 1 | Portsmouth (OH) Raceway Park, Lucas Oil Series | $10,000 to win
July 2 | Midway (OH) Speedway, UMP Summernationals | $10,000 to win *
July 3 | Muskingum County (OH) Speedway, Lucas Oil Series | $10,000 to win *
* Josh will drive Tim Hall's car at the denoted events!
