(ASHLAND, KENTUCKY) The Josh McGuire Racing team scored a pair of strong finishes over the weekend at the Rocky Top (OH) Raceway and the Tyler County (WV) Speedway. On Friday night, June 15, the Rocky Top Raceway in Coal Grove, Ohio played host to the $3,000 to win 'Summer Sizzler 40.' Josh qualified well and finished fifth in the dash to earn the inside third row starting spot for the 40-lap A-Main. The young Ashland, Kentucky native sported a great car throughout the feature event and despite going to the tail of the field shortly after the halfway mark, wound up a strong fourth behind winner R.J. Conley, Tim Dohm, and Rod Conley.

The action then turned to the venerable Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, West Virginia on Saturday evening, as the Independent Racing Series (IRS) sanctioned a $5,000 to win show. In his second visit to the West Virginia speedplant this season, Josh won his heat race prior to running sixth in the 50-lap feature event behind winner Paul Wilmouth, Jr., Tim Dohm, Ryan Markham, Robbie Blair, and Robbie Scott. Josh and his #41 team have two more events on their upcoming weekend schedule, as they will travel north to Indiana and Ohio. On Friday night, June 22, Josh plans to enter a $3,000 to win O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Series show at the Twin Cities Raceway Park in Vernon, Indiana. On Saturday, the action will shift to the K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio, as the Independent Racing series will sanction the $5,000 to win 'Night the Stars Come Out' event.
