U. S. STEEL TO SPONSOR JOSH MCGUIRE RACING
Worldwide Steel Manufacturer Sponsors Kentucky Racer At USA Nationals

Farmington, Minn (June 15, 2010) The F.A.N.S. Fund and United States Steel Corporation reported today that the corporation will sponsor driver Josh McGuire at the 23rd Annual USA Nationals. U. S. Steel's involvement with the USA Nationals in 2010 is significant as they are the presenting title sponsor of the event as well as sponsoring the general fund for the FANS Fund. The event will be recognized as the USA Nationals presented by U. S. Steel.

"This sponsorship of Josh McGuire was a great opportunity for U. S. Steel in their title sponsorship of the USA Nationals weekend and partner with a young talented racer in Josh McGuire," stated Steve Kaufman of Cedar Lake Speedway. "It will be an exciting weekend of racing at Cedar Lake and we can't wait to see the U. S. Steel Dirt Late Model take to the track."

The third annual FANS Fund officially kicked off June 7 with donations and voting concluding on July 10. Fans donate to a general fund and vote on drivers in an effort to offset the teams' expenses. The goal once again in 2010 is to raise $10,000 or more so drivers voted in can be awarded $1,000 each by the fund for racing at the USA Nationals presented by U. S. Steel. The second-generation racer was honored to be asked to carry sponsorship from U. S. Steel and race at Cedar Lake Speedway. "I could tell when I spoke to Scott Coleman at U. S. Steel that he has a lot of history and knowledge regarding racing, so as a driver, I couldn't ask for a better supporter nor a better company to be associated," explained McGuire. "We look forward to returning to Cedar Lake Speedway carrying the U. S. Steel Corporation logo on our car's panels. "

Rich Olson, FANS Fund founder commented about the McGuire selection; "The FANS Fund had planned to create a new category where we invited back a former FANS Fund driver. The new category is called the 'FANS FUND All-Star.'" One of the stipulations of the FANS Fund driver voting is the driver is not to have raced at the USA Nationals within the past two years. With the growing and talented driver list of past invitees, Olson thought 2010 was a great year to be the genesis of the new category. "U. S. Steel has been very supportive of the 2010 FANS Fund including the All-Star nomination. When looking at the past drivers and evaluating all situations, a couple names jumped off the top of the list and Josh's name just seemed to stand out," said Olson. "This entire partnership with U. S. Steel Corporation has just been phenomenal experience and Scott and Josh are fantastic to work with. I am excited for the USA Nationals and hope Josh makes the starting field because I want to see another 360 spin during driver introductions again! "
