(ASHLAND, KENTUCKY) Josh McGuire and his #41 team recently completed a hectic two-week racing schedule, which was culminated with the final three events of "Kentucky Speedweek" last weekend. Josh racked up his fourth win in the month of May on Thursday, May 31 at the Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Kentucky. After finishing second in his heat race, Josh went on to claim the $3,000 payday in the O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Series feature event over Mike Marlar and Justin Rattliff.

The action then turned to the legendary Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky on Friday evening, June 1 for another $3,000 to win BoB show. Josh finished third in his heat race prior to running fourteenth in the A-Main. "Kentucky Speedweek" wrapped up on Saturday with the annual running of the 'Ralph Latham Memorial' at the Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky. After qualifying well and leading most of his competitive heat race, Josh finished third in the heat to earn the ninth starting spot for the 50-lap A-Main. In front of the SPEED Channel cameras, the Ashland, Kentucky native drove his #41 machine to a respectable thirteenth place performance in the $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event.

As a result of his strong finishes recently, Josh wound up second to Mike Marlar in this year's "Kentucky Speedweek" final point standings! The young Ashland, Kentucky driver accumulated one victory and three Top Five finishes in the six series events held from May 27-June 2.

"I am very happy with how we ran throughout "Kentucky Speedweek," commented McGuire via telephone recently. "I have to congratulate Mike (Marlar) and his guys for winning the points deal, as their car was fast all week. But, we were able to hold our own, get a win at Lake Cumberland, and even get some television time at Florence. Hopefully, we can keep running strong throughout the remainder of the season, starting this weekend at Eldora."

Josh plans to pilot Tim Hall's #11 C.J. Rayburn chassis at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio this weekend for the 13th Annual 'Dream 100.' Qualifying will take place at the "Big E" on Friday night, June 8, while heat races, consolation events, and the $100,000 to win feature event are slated for Saturday evening. Josh will be looking to make his first career start in the annual mega-event this weekend at the Tony Stewart-owned facility.
