(ASHLAND, KENTUCKY) The Josh McGuire Racing team found their way into victory lane for the first time in the young 2007 racing season on Friday night, May 11 at the Rocky Top Raceway in Coal Grove, Ohio! After qualifying well and running third in the dash, Josh McGuire rolled his #41 machine off from the inside of the second row for the $1,200 to win Dirt Late Model A-Main. The Ashland, Kentucky native found his way to the front of the field on lap ten and then held off Jackie Boggs, Josh Bocook, Shawn Holliday, and D.J. Miller for the victory! The #41 team then invaded the Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, West Virginia on Saturday evening for the $4,000 to win 'Topless 50.' Josh's #41 C.J. Rayburn entry pushed during his qualifying laps and as a result, he had to start mid-pack in one of the heat races. However, Josh got up on the wheel in his heat race and got up to the third spot, but was unfortunately penalized two positions for allegedly jumping a restart. He then won the B-Main to gain access into the $4,000 to win feature event. After rolling off from the outside of the eighth row for the 50-lap main event, Josh passed twelve cars en route to a very impressive fourth place effort! "It is great to get that first win out of the way and under our belt," stated McGuire today. "We had a good night at Rocky Top and our car got better on the longer runs. Then at Tyler County, I had a fast car all night, but had to play catch up after the car pushed in qualifying. I was just riding when I got up to fourth in the feature and waited too long to make my move on the leaders. I just lost track of laps, but it was still good to bring home a top five finish there."

Josh and his #41 team have a busy weekend ahead of them, as they will kick things off this Friday evening, May 18 at the Rocky Top Raceway in Coal Grove, Ohio. A $2,000 top prize is up for grabs in a special unsanctioned event. They will then travel to the I-77 Motorsports Park in Fairplain, West Virginia on Saturday for the rain-postponed $2,500 to win 'Spring 40.' I-77 will also play host to a $1,000 to win regular show on Saturday, May 19, so Josh will be competing in two races that evening.
