(ASHLAND, KENTUCKY) After splitting with car owner Tim Hall following the completion of "Speedweeks 2007" back in mid-February, Josh McGuire will field his own car for the first time this coming weekend in one of the biggest Dirt Late Model events he will attend all season. The Dirt Track at the Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina will host the second annual 'Circle K Colossal 100' and a $50,000 top prize is up for grabs. Qualifications and heat race action will take place on Friday, April 20, while several last chance events and the 100-lap A-Main are slated for Saturday evening. For the latest news and information concerning this year's version of the 'Circle K Colossal 100,' which is sanctioned by the 360 OTC World of Outlaws Late Model Series, please visit www.lowesmotorspeedway.com and www.worldofoutlaws.com.
"I am really looking forward to racing at Charlotte this weekend," commented McGuire today via telephone. "We got our new motor in late this week and we should be on our way to Lowe's tomorrow. I was hoping to get a race or two in before the Colossal 100, but things just didn't work out. Our car was fast there last year, so hopefully that will be the case again, only with some better luck."
